About the Junior Planner Y4Y Programme

The Junior Planner Y4Y Programme provides an opportunity for a young candidate to gain practical experience in operations and production planning.

The successful candidate will assist with monitoring the operations backlog, prioritising jobs, coordinating spare parts and supporting the production workflow. Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills will be important in this role.

Junior Planner Responsibilities

As a Junior Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor the operations backlog for newly released jobs.
  • Assist the Operations team with daily planning tasks.
  • Plan jobs according to operational backlog lead times.
  • Assist with optimising workflow and production processes.
  • Allocate incoming stock to priority jobs as instructed by the Production Scheduling Engineer.
  • Identify and communicate shortages, delays and operational challenges to management.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support on-time and in-full (OTIF) order fulfilment.
  • Process and regularly update backlog reports.
  • Complete all administration related to planning activities.
  • Follow warehouse processes and stock control procedures.
  • Evaluate sales orders and determine the availability of required parts.
  • Identify spare-part shortages and prioritise requirements in consultation with Procurement and Stores.
  • Coordinate priority parts through processes such as quality control and painting.
  • Ensure priority parts reach the spare-parts staging area on time.
  • Manage incoming spare parts according to production priorities.
  • Coordinate parts required for projects, pumps and spare-parts orders.

Junior Planner Requirements
