About the Role
The Cleaner Crate Washer will support the production process by ensuring that crates are cleaned and ready for use. The successful candidate will operate and monitor the crate-washing process, remove damaged crates and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure crates are cleaned and free from defects.
- Receive crates from the crate loader for washing.
- Remove broken crates before they enter the crate washer.
- Stack damaged crates separately.
- Monitor the crate washer and report faults to the Supervisor.
- Maintain a constant supply of clean crates for slicing machines.
- Keep the work area clean at all times.
- Follow hygiene, food safety, safety and dress-code requirements.
- Use cleaning materials correctly and responsibly.
- Ensure allocated equipment is safe to operate.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow company policies, procedures and manufacturing protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and improvement activities.
- Identify and report non-compliance issues.
- Participate in Manufacturing Excellence activities.
