About the role

The Patient Recruiter will identify and recruit suitable participants for medical research studies. The role involves explaining study information to potential participants, maintaining relationships and ensuring that recruitment activities follow required protocols and compliance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit and screen potential study participants.
  • Assess candidates according to research study protocols.
  • Explain study objectives, requirements and benefits to patients.
  • Answer questions and provide accurate study information.
  • Coordinate off-site recruitment events and promotional activities.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality.
  • Follow compliance requirements and research protocols.
  • Work with the team to achieve recruitment targets.
  • Meet required deadlines and performance objectives.
  • Maintain excellent customer service throughout the recruitment process.

Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in customer service and sales or as a Patient Recruiter within a BPO environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, treatment procedures and industry regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and compliance regulations will be an advantage.

working hours

The position requires a 45-hour work week with rotating shifts between 15:00 and 05:00.

Employees may work rotating days from Monday to Sunday, including dynamic holiday schedules.
