About the programme

Successful applicants will receive institutionalised and on-the-job training in their chosen technical field. Candidates who successfully complete the recruitment process may be placed in Eskom Operations across different divisions.

The opportunity provides practical exposure for candidates who want to develop their technical and artisan skills within the energy sector.

Qualifications

Applicants must have Grade 12 plus one of the following:

Option 1: N-Level qualification

Grade 12 plus N6, N5, N4 or N3 Certificate in one of these fields:

  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Fitting
  • Fitting and Turning
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Rigging
  • Civil
  • Millwright
  • Bricklaying

Applicants must have achieved at least 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Science.

OR

Option 2: NCV qualification

Grade 12 plus NCV Level 4 in:

  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Fitting
  • Fitting and Turning
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Rigging
  • Civil
  • Millwright
  • Bricklaying

A minimum of 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Science is required.

Minimum requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must have Grade 12.
  • Must meet the relevant N-level or NCV Level 4 technical qualification requirements.
  • Must have 50% Mathematics.
  • Must have 50% Science.
