DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: June 24, 2022, at 16H00

NOTE: Effective January 1, 2021, the DPSA authorized the revised Z83 Application Form (available from any Public Service department); applicants are encouraged to utilize the new form, since failing to do so would result in their application being dismissed.

When submitting the Z83 form, it must be signed. To expedite the recruitment process and make it more responsive to the public, as well as to provide more protective measures during the pandemic by minimizing overcrowding and lowering candidate fees, the following certification procedures should be implemented: To represent that application, the advertisement and related notes must explicitly capture the certification criteria. Please keep in mind that although candidates are not needed to provide copies of their credentials or other necessary papers with their application, they must submit the Z83 and a complete curriculum vitae.

Only selected applicants will get information from the department’s HR about the need for verified papers. As a result, only those applicants who have been shortlisted for a position will be asked to provide certified papers on or before the day of the interview, as determined by HR. Candidates who are chosen for interviews will be asked to supply extra certified information that may be sought to make a final choice, according to the subsection “additional information” on the application for employment Form (Z83).

It’s important to remember that when a document is certified as a genuine copy of an original, the certifier is merely confirming that it’s a true copy of the original. As a result, the certification procedure does not give proof of the original document’s legitimacy. When the papers are checked for validity, they are validated. Regulation 67 (9) requires the executive authority to ensure that he or she is fully satisfied with the claims being made, and this is in addition to Regulation 57 (c), which requires the completion of Personnel Suitability Checks in order to verify claims and ensure that the candidate is fit and proper for employment.

Applications that do not meet the aforementioned criteria will be rejected. Please consider your application failed if you have not heard from us within the following several months. Note: It is the duty of all candidates to ensure that SAQA evaluates foreign and other credentials. Candidates will only be considered for recognition of past learning if they provide evidence. Please be aware that your employment will be contingent on qualification verification and a security clearance.

Applications that are faxed or sent late will not be accepted. Candidates who have been shortlisted must agree to go through the standard screening and verification procedures. Please consider your application failed if you have not heard from us within the following three months.
