Checker II Job Purpose
The Checker II will assist with assembling, packing, unpacking, weighing, stacking, loading and unloading goods or containers.
The role also involves checking, entering and recording information about goods or containers manually or electronically.
As an intermediate-level position, the Checker II may handle more complex warehouse, quality control and inventory management responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing stock control activities.
- Assisting with dispatch operations.
- Maintaining accurate records and administration.
- Performing system administration duties.
- Following reasonable instructions from the supervisor.
- Conducting pre-loading inspections of vehicles.
- Checking that vehicles are clean before loading.
- Ensuring slides are properly closed.
- Loading and sealing cargo.
- Weighing vehicle axles to ensure legal compliance.
- Cleaning the weighbridge and loading area daily.
- Maintaining general housekeeping in the loading facility.
