Job Purpose

The Workplace Experience Student will support the Sales and Distribution team with activities that help drive product sales, maintain customer relationships and ensure products are delivered efficiently.

The role provides hands-on experience in sales operations, distribution, customer service and market development.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with:

  • Identifying and contacting potential customers.
  • Supporting daily sales activities, including order taking and customer follow-ups.
  • Responding to customer enquiries.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers, retailers and distributors.
  • Preparing sales reports, quotations, invoices and other documentation.
  • Monitoring customer orders and coordinating deliveries.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting low-stock or fast-moving products.
  • Conducting basic market research.
  • Identifying customer needs, competitor activity and potential sales opportunities.
  • Supporting promotional activities, product launches and sales campaigns.
  • Updating customer and sales information on company systems or spreadsheets.
  • Resolving customer queries and escalating complaints where necessary.
  • Assisting with general administrative and operational duties.

Requirements

Applicants applying for Workplace Experience Student should:

  • Be currently studying towards or have recently completed a qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Have basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Have good organisational and time-management skills.
