Cleaner Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Head Office and communal areas.
  • Developing cleaning routines to keep office areas properly maintained.
  • Cleaning and restocking the canteen and restrooms.
  • Responding to cleaning requirements during operational hours.
  • Checking refuse for products or valuable goods before disposal.
  • Vacuuming meeting and training rooms daily according to standard procedures.
  • Vacuuming other carpeted areas weekly.
  • Dusting desks, chairs, telephones, shelves, photocopiers and other office equipment.
  • Following workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Storing cleaning equipment safely when not in use.
  • Displaying wet-floor warning signs when cleaning floors.
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional attitude when customers are on-site.
  • Directing customers to the correct floor or employee when requested.
  • Communicating professionally with staff and visitors.
