About the Tiger Brands Stores Clerk Job
The Stores Clerk will support the effective management of stock, procurement, warehouse administration and supplier requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and issuing stock, creating purchase orders, monitoring stock variances and supporting material planning to ensure goods and services are available when required.
This role also involves working with suppliers, maintaining accurate systems and records, preparing reports and assisting with monthly stock-taking activities.
Stores Clerk Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Receive and store manufactured stock in the warehouse.
- Update stock and other relevant information on company systems.
- Create purchase orders for required goods and services.
- Ensure purchase requisitions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts of manufactured stock.
- Identify and report stock variances.
- Support the preparation of accurate monthly stock reports.
- Assist with timely ordering of packaging materials and ingredients.
- Monitor supplier delivery dates and follow up where necessary.
- Manage day-to-day third-party requirements.
- Administer the receiving and issuing of stock and orders.
- Monitor supplier account payments.
- Compile reports for management.
- Provide support during monthly stock-taking activities.
- Assist with procurement and stores-related administration.
Requirements for the Stores Clerk Position
Applicants should have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in stores, stock control or procurement.
- Working knowledge of stock control and stores management.
- Knowledge of procurement processes within a food manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
