Purpose of the Position
The Warehouse Stock Assistant is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy by ensuring products are correctly stored, labelled, counted, and recorded within warehouse bin locations. The successful candidate will assist with stock verification, compliance monitoring, inventory counts, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Bin Data Management
- Verify stock stored in picking bins.
- Ensure products and quantities are correctly allocated.
- Monitor bin locations for accuracy.
Bin Labelling
- Create and maintain accurate warehouse bin labels.
- Ensure barcodes remain visible and scannable.
- Update Bin Master Sheets daily.
Compliance Monitoring
- Report stock placement errors and non-compliance.
- Assist with stock investigations.
- Complete daily bin accuracy reports.
Stock Control
- Conduct daily stock counts.
- Perform recounts where discrepancies occur.
- Submit stock count reports for reconciliation.
Warehouse Safety
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Comply with company operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- 1–2 years’ warehouse, logistics or stock control experience.
- Experience with receiving, picking, packing and stock counting (advantageous).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
