About the Clicks Shop Assistants / Cashiers Job

Clicks Group is hiring 3 Shop Assistants / Cashiers at Clicks Woodmead Retail Park in Sandton.

The successful candidates will provide excellent customer service while handling point-of-sale (POS) operations, cash transactions, merchandising, promotions and general store duties.

This permanent opportunity is ideal for candidates with Grade 12 who enjoy working with customers and are interested in building a career in the retail or FMCG sector.

Shop Assistant / Cashiers Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Process customer purchases accurately at the point of sale.
  • Scan merchandise and collect customer payments.
  • Handle cash safely and accurately.
  • Process Clicks ClubCard rewards and encourage new memberships.
  • Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
  • Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
  • Represent the Clicks brand positively.
  • Perform merchandising and housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain store and visual merchandising standards.
  • Keep up to date with products, promotions, ranges and events.
  • Follow company procedures and instructions.
  • Support the store in achieving customer service and sales objectives.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification is essential.
  • Maths at 50% in Grade 12 is desirable.
  • English at 50% in Grade 12 is desirable.
  • Previous customer-facing or retail/FMCG experience is advantageous.
