Job Purpose
The successful candidate will provide security services for City of Ekurhuleni facilities and properties while assisting members of the public and municipal employees at bus station buildings. The role focuses on maintaining safety, protecting municipal assets, monitoring security systems, and responding to public enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Clerk, your duties will include:
- Protect municipal buildings, facilities, and public property from unauthorised access.
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas.
- Monitor and respond to security alarm systems.
- Maintain effective security controls at bus stations and municipal facilities.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
- Observe members of the public and report suspicious or irrational behaviour.
- Issue parking enforcement control tickets where required.
- Administer first aid to injured members of the public or municipal employees.
- Attend to public complaints and enquiries professionally.
- Respond to telephonic enquiries and refer matters to the relevant departments.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
