Requirements: A Grade 12 Certificate with Three years’ qualification in Human Resources Management (NQF level 6) and Certificate in Introduction to PERSAL System will be added as advantage ● No experience is required.

Legislative requirements: COIDA Act, Regulations and Policies ● Public service Act ● Occupational Health and safety Act (OHS) ● PFMA and National Treasury Regulations ● General knowledge of the Public Service Regulations ● General Knowledge of the Basic Condition of Employment Act

Core Technical Skills: Required Technical Proficiency ● Business Writing Skills ● Required IT Skills ● Data Capturing ● Data and records management ● Telephone Skills and Etiquette.

Duties: Administer leave of absence ● Implement conditions of service and employee benefits ● Administer termination of service ● Safe keep HR records● Conduct physical verification of employees.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical competency exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which be communicated by the Department. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools.
