NCR Internship Programme 2026 – 18-Month Internships| Apply Now

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) is inviting applications for its 18-month Internship Programme. The programme offers unemployed South African graduates and young people an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience across various departments.

A total of 24 internship opportunities are available in areas including law, compliance, finance, project management, research, administration, supply chain, communications, risk and audit.

NCR Internship Programme Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an unemployed South African citizen.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification for the internship being applied for.
  • Meet the qualification requirements specified for the selected department.
  • Have not participated in an internship programme previously.
  • No work experience is required.

About the National Credit Regulator

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) was established under the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 and is responsible for regulating South Africa’s credit industry.

The NCR’s responsibilities include education, research, policy development, registration of industry participants, investigation of complaints and enforcement of the National Credit Act.

The organisation also promotes the development of an accessible credit market, particularly for historically disadvantaged and low-income communities.
