Job Purpose
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for supporting artisans with maintenance activities, performing general building maintenance, carrying out minor repairs, maintaining workshop cleanliness, and assisting in keeping company facilities safe and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include:
- Assist artisans with planned and corrective maintenance.
- Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Carry out maintenance tasks assigned by artisans.
- Help complete preventative maintenance activities.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in workshops and stores.
- Clean work areas and maintenance equipment.
- Assist with larger maintenance projects when required.
- Close out safety job cards.
- Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and functional.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant or in a similar maintenance role
- Basic computer literacy
