Heavy Duty Vacancy Job Purpose

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, the Driver: Heavy Duty will be responsible for executing all driving duties, transporting vehicles safely, and assisting with other operational duties as required by the dealership.

This role requires a professional driver with excellent communication skills, a valid Code 14 driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), and a strong commitment to customer service and road safety.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Collect vehicles from customers, suppliers, and other dealership branches.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, suppliers, branches, and other designated locations.
  • Move vehicles within the dealership premises.
  • Assist customers when collecting their vehicles.
  • Take vehicles for roadworthy inspections.
  • Report all accidents and traffic offences immediately to the Dealer Principal.
  • Work overtime when operational requirements demand.
  • Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • A valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
  • A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
