Drivers Job Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and delivering clients’ cash safely and securely
  • Taking full accountability for transported funds
  • Reporting delays and incidents immediately to management
  • Maintaining communication with control room personnel
  • Monitoring and preventing security risks during transit
  • Taking preventive action when suspicious activities are detected
  • Following all company security and safety procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with CIT operational standards

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this Drivers position, applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 qualification (advantageous)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Clear credit record
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
  • PSIRA accreditation (minimum Grade C)
  • Completed handgun and rifle firearm training
  • SAPS firearm competency certificate
  • Cash-in-Transit (CIT) Certificate
  • Tactical combat training
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in CIT driving and crew functions
  • Experience within the security industry or a similar environment
