The City of Johannesburg has announced new EPWP Jozi Ihlomile opportunities for unemployed youth across Johannesburg.

The programme is offering opportunities for:

  • EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Educators
  • EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators
  • EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Data Coordinators

These are short-term contract positions aimed at supporting HIV/AIDS, TB, social awareness and community health programmes throughout Johannesburg.

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Educators

Stipend

R4,000 per month

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Proof of residence in the advertised ward
  • Affidavit confirming no criminal record

Main Duties

Successful candidates will:

  • Conduct door-to-door health education
  • Refer community members to relevant services
  • Complete reports and submit programme data

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators

Stipend

R4,300 per month

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12
  • One year relevant experience in HIV/AIDS door-to-door education
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and social programmes
  • Proof of residence in the advertised ward
  • Affidavit confirming no criminal record

Main Duties

Successful candidates will:

  • Monitor and support Educators
  • Coordinate programme activities
  • Submit reports and statistics
  • Assist regional management teams

EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Data Coordinators

Stipend

R4,500 per month

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12
  • One year experience in a Health or Social Sector environment
  • Computer literacy
  • MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Good typing and reporting skills
  • Proof of residence in the advertised region
  • Affidavit confirming no criminal record

Main Duties

Successful candidates will:

  • Capture and verify programme data
  • Prepare reports
  • Support regional offices
  • Monitor information submitted by field teams
