About the Woolworths Customer Assistant Job
Woolworths Careers is recruiting a Customer Assistant / Replenisher to join the Woolworths Foods Salesfloor team at Knysna Mall.
The successful candidate will help maintain well-stocked shelves, provide excellent customer service and ensure that Woolworths Foods products are presented according to company standards.
This is a full-time retail opportunity suitable for candidates with Grade 12 or an equivalent National Certificate. Previous retail experience is advantageous but not essential.
Customer Assistant / Replenisher Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Replenishing shelves with fresh and quality products.
- Ensuring correct stock rotation and reducing unnecessary waste.
- Maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Keeping shelves neat and properly organised.
- Following planograms, shelf-edge labels and merchandising standards.
- Identifying and reporting stock sell-outs and quality concerns.
- Reporting suspicious activities and supporting shrinkage prevention.
- Providing customers with accurate product information.
- Suggesting suitable product alternatives when required.
- Participating in team meetings and daily operational activities.
- Working with colleagues to achieve store targets and priorities.
- Maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent National Certificate.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Availability to work different shifts according to business requirements.
- Strong customer-service skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow health, safety, hygiene and stock-management procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability, honesty and professionalism.

Advantageous Experience
Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment will be an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
