The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate warehouse operations by verifying stock, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting dispatch and receiving activities, and promoting a safe and compliant warehouse environment.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants applying for Checker should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 2–3 years of experience as a picker or forklift driver in an FMCG warehouse environment
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

Stock Verification

  • Verify stock quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and pallet conditions.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Confirm stock labels and product traceability.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate stock records and bin card updates.
  • Perform stock counts and cycle counts.
  • Support inventory accuracy and stock traceability.

Receiving and Dispatch

  • Verify incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Confirm pallet counts and truck allocations before dispatch.
  • Ensure loads are staged, checked, and documented correctly.
  • Complete photographic verification where required.

Warehouse Operations

  • Coordinate picking and forklift teams.
  • Report damaged stock and pallets.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation.
  • Record CHEP pallet transactions.
  • Assist in achieving daily operational targets.

Health and Safety

  • Follow warehouse health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain hygiene, allergen control, and stock rotation standards.
  • Ensure proper stacking and storage practices.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and audit-ready.
