About the Safal Operator Jobs
Safal Group is recruiting 12 Operator to join its production team in Durban West, KwaZulu-Natal.
The primary purpose of the Operator role is to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while following company standards, operating procedures and production schedules.
Successful candidates will help maintain production quality, identify equipment or process issues and ensure that all safety, health and environmental requirements are followed.
Operator Responsibilities
As an Operator, your key duties will include:
- Operate production equipment according to approved procedures and schedules.
- Follow operating instructions and company standards.
- Ensure efficient and accurate operation of assigned equipment.
- Maintain production quality in line with the quality plan.
- Follow all operating requirements for assigned equipment.
- Report equipment defects and production deviations to the Production Technician.
- Report unsafe conditions or operating issues immediately.
- Follow all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) standards and procedures.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times.
- Keep the work area clean and organised according to 6S housekeeping standards.
- Calibrate gauges accurately at the start of each shift.
- Apply appropriate roll-bending pressures according to SOPs.
- Avoid pinching and other production risks by following prescribed procedures.
- Support efficient and consistent manufacturing operations.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Science.
- Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience as an Operator.
- A Production or Operations Certificate will be an advantage.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
