About the Warehouse General Assistant Job

FlySafair is hiring a Warehouse General Assistant at its Head Office in Gauteng. The successful candidate reports to the Warehouse Manager and supports the Receiving, Dispatch and Inventory teams with stock handling, storage, verification and general warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing outstanding DNU (Do Not Use) stock.
  • Segregate, identify and organise stock as instructed.
  • Verify physical stock quantities against documentation.
  • Match Certificates of Conformance (C of C) to applicable parts.
  • Identify parts without the required C of C and report them.
  • Handle stock carefully to prevent damage, loss or incorrect allocation.
  • Assist with organising and cleaning warehouse and mezzanine areas.
  • Move and organise stock within designated warehouse areas.
  • Pack stock into appropriate racks and storage locations.
  • Assist with stock sorting and inventory organisation.
  • Report damaged, incorrectly stored or discrepant stock.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and workplace safety standards.
  • Follow warehouse, stock-handling and safety procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable warehouse duties as required.

Requirements

Applicants for the Warehouse General Assistant position must have:

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification (Essential).
  • Previous warehouse, stores, logistics or stock-handling experience (Advantageous).
  • The ability to safely lift and handle items weighing 20–25 kg without assistance.
  • Willingness to work weekends when required.
  • Reliable transport.
