Purpose of the Transnet Work Integrated Learning Programme
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the workplace. Successful learners will receive practical training, mentorship, and exposure to real business operations while applying the knowledge gained during their studies.
The programme aims to improve graduates’ employability by providing meaningful work experience within Transnet.
Key Responsibilities
Successful learners will:
Operational Support
- Assist with departmental projects and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Completed all theoretical subjects in Information Technology at a University of Technology.
- An official In-Service Training Letter from their institution for the WIL Programme.
- Certified copy of South African ID.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate.
- Full academic transcript.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Have no bursary obligation with another organisation.
