About the Role

As a Store Driver, you will safely transport products to customers, process payments where required, maintain accurate delivery records, and ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.

You will also help support dispatch operations and contribute to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Delivering customer orders safely and on time
  • Ensuring the correct products are delivered to the correct customer
  • Prioritising refrigerated deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs
  • Planning the shortest and most efficient delivery routes
  • Returning promptly to the store after each delivery
  • Loading and securing products to prevent damage during transport
  • Handling fragile and hazardous products with care
  • Completing delivery documentation accurately
  • Obtaining customer signatures on delivery invoices
  • Processing customer payments via EFT and cash where required
  • Checking and returning store collections and inter-branch transfers
  • Maintaining an accurate vehicle logbook
  • Keeping the delivery vehicle clean and in good condition
  • Inspecting the vehicle before, during, and after trips
  • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents
  • Following the National Road Traffic Act and company vehicle policies
  • Providing professional and courteous customer service
  • Reporting customer feedback, complaints, and compliments to management

Minimum Requirements

Essential

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Valid South African driver’s licence
  • Willingness to work retail hours, weekends, and shifts

Advantageous

  • Previous experience as a delivery or store driver
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language
