About the Clicks Shop Assistant / Cashier Jobs

Clicks Group is inviting applications for 11 Shop Assistant / Cashier positions at Botlokwa Plaza in Capricorn, Limpopo.

The successful candidates will provide excellent customer service, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process customer payments, promote Clicks ClubCard membership and support merchandising and general store operations.

This is a permanent retail opportunity suitable for candidates who have Grade 12 and a strong interest in customer service and retail.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • Grade 12 Mathematics with at least 50% is desirable.
  • Grade 12 English with at least 50% is desirable.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment is desirable.
  • Retail or FMCG knowledge will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The Shop Assistant / Cashier will be responsible for:

Point-of-Sale Operations

  • Processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Scanning merchandise correctly.
  • Collecting payments for purchased goods.
  • Processing applicable ClubCard rewards.
  • Handling cash safely and responsibly.
  • Following all POS procedures and instructions.

Customer Service

  • Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
  • Acting as a Clicks brand ambassador.
  • Assisting customers with queries and product-related information.
  • Ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Informing customers about promotions and special offers.

Clicks ClubCard

  • Promoting Clicks ClubCard membership.
  • Encouraging customers to register for ClubCard.
  • Supporting store ClubCard participation targets.
  • Ensuring customers understand relevant rewards and benefits.

Merchandising and Housekeeping

  • Maintaining merchandise according to store standards.
  • Supporting visual merchandising requirements.
  • Ensuring the store remains clean, organised and presentable.
  • Following stock-management procedures.
  • Keeping up to date with products, ranges, promotions and events.
