Receptionist Job Purpose

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests and play an important role in delivering excellent customer service.

Your responsibilities will include facilitating efficient check-in and check-out processes, assisting guests throughout their stay, upselling rooms where appropriate and ensuring every guest receives personalised service.

Receptionist Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Welcome and assist guests in a professional manner.
  • Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, activities and services.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell rooms and relevant hotel services.

Receptionist Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred.
