About the Role (Receiving Clerk)

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving deliveries, verifying stock, capturing inventory accurately, processing supplier returns, and ensuring all stock is available for sale as quickly as possible. The role requires strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and the ability to work in a busy retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Receiving and verifying all stock deliveries.
  • Scanning and capturing incoming goods accurately.
  • Checking invoices against delivered stock.
  • Ensuring quantities, product variants, and product conditions are correct.
  • Returning damaged or unordered stock to suppliers.
  • Processing supplier returns and credit notes.
  • Assisting with warehouse claims.
  • Ensuring all deliveries are processed on the same day.
  • Maintaining an organised and secure receiving area.
  • Keeping storerooms clean and orderly.
  • Assisting with the management of high-risk stock.
  • Following all company receiving procedures and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Computer literacy.

  • Ability to work retail hours.
  • South African citizenship.
  • Clear criminal and credit records.
  • Reliable transport or residence close to the Hartbeespoort store.
