Outbound Agents Job Purpose

Icebolethu Group is looking for 20 Outbound Agents to generate new business through outbound cold calling and the sale of funeral assurance products. The successful candidates will also focus on customer retention, policy renewals and providing excellent customer service.

Outbound Agents Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell funeral assurance policies to new and existing customers.
  • Make outbound calls to generate new business.
  • Cross-sell and upsell relevant products.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Respond to customer queries and resolve complaints.
  • Implement customer retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate customer records.
  • Contact existing clients to restructure, retain or resell policies.
  • Negotiate policy renewals and retention.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Follow FAIS and FSCA regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain professional and ethical customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in sales, customer service or field operations.
  • Experience in funeral assurance, insurance or financial services will be advantageous.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • RE1 or RE5 certification is advantageous.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A clear credit and criminal record.

  • Proficiency in at least three official languages relevant to the province.
