About the Role

The General Assistant will help ensure the smooth running of the Training Academy by preparing training venues, assisting with catering services, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting hospitality functions for learners, facilitators, and visitors.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Preparing training venues and meeting rooms before training sessions.
  • Serving refreshments, meals, and beverages during training events.
  • Keeping training rooms, kitchens, dining areas, and communal spaces clean and organised.
  • Replenishing tea, coffee, milk, stationery, cleaning materials, and other consumables.
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing stock according to company procedures.
  • Assisting with catering and hospitality during academy events and workshops.
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
  • Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Reporting maintenance issues, stock shortages, and safety concerns.
  • Providing professional and friendly service to learners, facilitators, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.

    • Hospitality
