Royal Bafokeng Administration is hiring 11 Gardeners in Rustenburg, North West. This contract opportunity is suitable for candidates with Matric and at least one year of experience in gardening or a similar position.

If you enjoy working outdoors, maintaining gardens and keeping public and workplace spaces attractive, this could be a suitable opportunity to consider.The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining gardens, lawns, landscaped areas and outdoor facilities across Royal Bafokeng Nation facilities.

The role involves regular gardening and landscaping work to ensure outdoor areas remain clean, healthy, attractive and safe.

Gardener Responsibilities

Duties may include:

  • Maintain gardens, lawns and landscaped areas.
  • Plant, water and care for plants and flowers.
  • Prune trees, shrubs and other plants.
  • Mow lawns and maintain grassed areas.
  • Remove weeds and unwanted vegetation.
  • Keep outdoor areas clean and well maintained.
  • Perform general landscaping and gardening duties.
  • Help maintain safe and welcoming outdoor spaces.
  • Use gardening tools and equipment appropriately.
  • Work according to health and safety requirements.

Gardener Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Matric / Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar gardening position.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
