Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for moving palletised stock safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining warehouse standards, and preventing damage to stock and company equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Conduct daily forklift inspections before operating equipment.
  • Complete daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Check brakes, tyres, hydraulic oil, and other controls.
  • Operate the forklift safely according to company procedures.
  • Load, unload, stack, and move palletised stock.
  • Prevent damage to stock during handling and storage.
  • Report equipment defects immediately.
  • Record and report damaged customer merchandise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the forklift.
  • Keep warehouse work areas clean and organised.
  • Handle scanners and warehouse equipment responsibly.
  • Follow all health, safety, and operational procedures.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A valid Forklift Driver Licence.
  • Approximately 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
