Cleaner Responsibilities
As a Cleaner at Tsebo, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe working environment.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning toilets, offices, equipment, state property and other assigned areas.
- Using cleaning materials and equipment efficiently.
- Emptying dustbins daily and disposing of refuse correctly.
- Collecting recyclable paper waste and placing it in designated recycling bins.
- Checking and cleaning bathrooms at least twice a day.
- Dusting furniture and maintaining clean workspaces.
- Vacuuming carpets at least twice a week where applicable.
- Cleaning interior windows when required according to the service-level agreement.
- Storing cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated areas.
- Following company and client cleaning procedures and policies.
- Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Using cleaning and hygiene applications such as I-Clean or E-San where applicable.
- Maintaining good communication and positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Supporting high standards of service excellence and workplace hygiene.
Requirements for the Tsebo Cleaner Job
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of cleaning experience in the cleaning or hygiene industry is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene practices and cleaning products.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to operate different types of cleaning equipment.
- Basic literacy and communication skills.
- Understanding of company and client policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the facility layout.
