Job Overview

IZI South Africa is looking for a Driver in Cape Town to support Cash in Transit (CIT) operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and security of the assigned vehicle, equipment and assets while following company procedures and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections before and after each shift.
  • Report mechanical defects and other vehicle issues to management.
  • Immediately report accidents, suspicious activities and vehicle immobilisation to the Control Room and relevant authorities.
  • Follow all required security procedures and participate in security drills.
  • Wear prescribed protective equipment and obtain the required authorisation before exiting the vehicle.
  • Drive company vehicles safely and comply with the Road Traffic Act and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Complete scheduled routes and report delays or deviations to the Control Room.
  • Ensure radios, scanners, keys and other operational equipment are functional.
  • Ensure the vehicle is refuelled, clean and ready for the next shift.

Health and Safety

The successful candidate must maintain a Safety First approach to protect crew members, company assets and members of the public. Participation in safety forums and required training is also expected.

Driver Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A valid PDP licence.
  • PSIRA Grade C certification.
  • Cash in Transit (CIT) certification.
  • SAPS Firearm Competency for Handgun certificate.
  • Statement of Results from PFTC or SASSETA for a firearm with business purposes.
  • No adverse credit record.
  • No criminal record.
  • Not be registered as a director of any company or business.

Additional Requirements

New applicants must be available for a pre-shooting assessment and OBET training.
