Administrator Job Purpose
The Administrator: Credit Control is responsible for providing administrative support for credit control activities, managing debtor accounts, producing financial reports, maintaining accurate credit records, and assisting with financial compliance and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Control Administration
- Manage debtor accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
- Perform ageing analysis of debtor accounts.
- Maintain accurate credit records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with debt collection activities in accordance with company procedures.
Financial Reporting
- Produce monthly debtor reports.
- Assist with financial reconciliations.
- Support month-end financial processes.
- Provide information for audits and financial reviews.
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, finance teams, underwriters, and clients.
- Resolve account queries efficiently.
- Maintain professional customer relationships.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support regulatory requirements.
- Follow internal financial controls and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Essential
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies
Advantageous
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Credit Management
- Business Administration
- Related field
- Credit Management qualification
- FAIS and RE certification
Experience
Applicants should have:
- 3–5 years’ experience in:
- Credit control
- Debt collection
- Accounts receivable
- Experience within the insurance industry, particularly short-term insurance, will be advantageous.
- Experience working with financial and insurance administration systems.
Required Technical Skills
Successful candidates should possess:
- Strong knowledge of credit control principles
- Accounts receivable experience
- Financial reconciliation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP
- XLOOKUP
- Financial reporting
- Ability to analyse debtor trends
- Knowledge of accounting and insurance systems
