About the Role

The successful candidate will support facility operations by maintaining equipment and buildings, completing maintenance work orders, and ensuring assets remain in good working condition while meeting agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance and repairs.
  • Identifying faults and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
  • Following approved maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Completing weekly maintenance check sheets and job reports.
  • Requesting tools and materials required for maintenance work.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
  • Completing an average of four work orders per day.
  • Assisting with employee transportation when required.
  • Supporting maintenance across multiple trades, including:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical work
    • Carpentry
    • Painting
    • Tiling
    • Drywall
    • Flooring
  • Complying with SHEQ policies and site safety standards.
  • Performing additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience.
  • Experience performing basic work across multiple building trades.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
