About the Role

The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate capturing, processing, and administration of pharmacy-related documentation. You will work closely with pharmacy staff, suppliers, finance teams, and hospital departments to maintain efficient pharmacy operations and high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Clerk, your duties will include:

  • Processing daily invoices and credit notes on SAP.
  • Preparing daily invoice batches for payment.
  • Providing professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Following up on outstanding invoices and pricing queries.
  • Processing ward transfers and ward credit notes.
  • Capturing pharmacy data accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls and pharmacy procedures.
  • Following all pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Resolving finance-related queries.
  • Assisting with receiving stock and barcode verification.
  • Participating in stock counts and stock takes.
  • Processing weekly medical aid remittances on CKS.
  • Performing additional administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
