About the Role (AVBOB Clerk Jobs)
As a Clerk in the Contact Centre, you will provide efficient customer support by handling policy enquiries, maintaining policy records, processing policy changes, and assisting clients with insurance-related requests. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach while ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Answering and handling customer policy enquiries via telephone.
- Processing new business application requirements.
- Providing claim enquiry numbers to branches.
- Following up on unpaid claims and outstanding documentation.
- Referring qualified leads to the Direct Marketing Department.
- Assisting with outstanding accounts and refund enquiries.
- Following up on unpaid premiums, default payments, and incorrect deductions.
- Processing policy amendments and servicing requests.
- Updating insured lives, dependants, and child benefits.
- Managing policy reinstatements and inflation adjustments.
- Processing policy cessions and payment method changes.
- Providing policy information, documentation, and policy values.
- Recording and maintaining accurate customer consent and policy records.
- Ensuring compliance with FAIS legislation and company procedures.
- Processing legal and compliance documentation.
- Delivering professional customer service while resolving policy administration enquiries.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for these AVBOB Clerk Jobs, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 140 Long-Term FAIS Credits.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the Life Insurance Industry.
- Experience in a client service or policy maintenance environment.
- Ability to work independently.
