Minimum Requirements

To apply for the SASSA Grant Administrator vacancies, you must have:

  • A qualification at NQF Level 6 (SAQA recognised) in one of the following:
    • Public Administration / Public Management
    • Business Administration
    • Economics / Development Studies
    • Finance / Accounting / Commerce
    • Social Sciences / Social Security

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Grant Administrator, you will:

  • Provide customer service for social grant applicants
  • Screen and capture grant applications
  • Perform beneficiary maintenance functions
  • Administer medical bookings and assessments
  • Provide off-site grant services
  • Scan and batch grant files

Important Requirements

  • Must undergo pre-employment screening (qualifications, criminal record, ITC, references)
  • Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA
  • All appointments are subject to security vetting
  • Preference will be given in line with employment equity targets
