Operator Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating manufacturing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), SHE requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Conducting pre-production inspections and equipment checks.
- Preparing production areas, equipment and materials for manufacturing activities.
- Performing manufacturing, inspection and packaging tasks according to production targets.
- Maintaining product quality and process efficiency.
- Cleaning and caring for production equipment and work areas.
- Performing sampling and non-viable monitoring activities.
- Managing production waste according to procedures.
- Supporting operators and production activities when required.
- Performing preventative maintenance and basic equipment adjustments.
- Troubleshooting routine equipment problems.
- Escalating complex equipment faults to the maintenance team.
- Completing production documentation accurately.
- Maintaining records for quality, compliance and operational reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- N4–N6 Certification in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes, systems and equipment.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical standards and compliance requirements.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should be able to work safely and efficiently in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, technical ability and the ability to follow strict production and quality procedures are essential.
