Job Purpose

The Plant Administrator provides administrative, operational, and coordination support to the plant leadership team. The successful candidate will help ensure smooth day-to-day plant operations by managing documentation, reporting, purchasing processes, travel arrangements, meetings, and administrative activities across all plant departments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the plant leadership team.
  • Managing plant correspondence, filing systems, records, and documentation.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, meeting agendas, and minutes.
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and plant events.
  • Raising purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Reconciling administrative expenses where required.
  • Capturing and maintaining production data and daily operational reports.
  • Managing visitor access, documentation, and induction processes.
  • Assisting with facilities administration and related matters.
  • Supporting ad hoc plant improvement projects.
  • Managing general plant administrative duties.
  • Consolidating plant performance reports and operational data.
  • Coordinating travel bookings for site personnel.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • An Administrative or relevant qualification (advantageous).
  • Between 2 and 5 years’ administration experience in a plant, factory, manufacturing, or operations environment.
  • Experience supporting operational processes will be beneficial.

Required Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates should possess:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Accurate data capturing and reporting abilities.
