About the Role
The Driver Grade 1 Forklift is responsible for safely handling, loading, unloading, transporting, and storing raw materials and finished products while ensuring compliance with Sasol’s safety, quality, and operational standards.
The role also includes assisting with housekeeping, stock movement, and general warehouse activities.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid South African driver’s licence
- Valid Forklift Competency Certificate
- At least 1 year of experience in an explosives manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Loading and off-loading materials from trucks and containers
- Verifying deliveries against delivery notes and barcoding labels
- Collecting and transporting raw materials from the warehouse to production plants
- Collecting finished products from production plants and delivering them to magazines
- Transporting detonators from the Caps Plant to the detonator magazine
- Moving, stacking, and storing pallets safely
- Recording products delivered to different magazines
- Performing general loading and off-loading duties
- Reporting forklift defects immediately
- Maintaining clean and organised warehouse and yard areas
- Assisting with binning, issuing, and preservation activities
- Carrying out additional duties assigned by supervisors
