About the Role
The Driver will be responsible for collecting and delivering company documentation, equipment, merchandise, and other items to internal and external customers. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support when required and ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include:
- Reading daily delivery and collection schedules
- Collecting company mail from the post office
- Delivering documents, equipment, merchandise, and petty cash
- Collecting items from customers and company offices
- Maintaining a delivery and collection logbook with tracking numbers
- Transporting employees between regional offices when required
- Recording and relaying office messages accurately
- Providing administrative support, including:
- Photocopying documents
- Filing paperwork
- Shredding confidential documents
- Preparing document packs
- Loading paper and replacing printer toner cartridges
- Reporting faulty office equipment for maintenance
- Ensuring company vehicles are used safely and responsibly
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid South African driver’s licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- At least 1 year of experience as an office or company driver
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems
- Basic vehicle fault-finding knowledge
- Good understanding of safe driving practices
