About the Role (CBRE Excellerate General Worker)

As a General Worker, you will perform a variety of manual labour duties to support the maintenance and daily operations of company facilities. You will assist with building upkeep, cleaning, material handling, logistics, and preventative maintenance while ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing basic building maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Assisting maintenance technicians with larger repair projects.
  • Replacing light bulbs, repairing locks, and patching walls.
  • Cleaning offices, shared areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds.
  • Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining workplace cleanliness.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste safely.
  • Loading, unloading, and organising materials and equipment.
  • Maintaining stock and inventory of supplies.
  • Assisting with furniture assembly and room setup.
  • Supporting renovations and workplace events.
  • Reporting safety hazards and damaged equipment.
  • Following Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • 1–2 years’ experience as a General Worker or in a similar role.
  • A valid South African driver’s licence.
  • A valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
