About the Role (Contact Centre Agent)
AVI Field Marketing is a shared services business unit that supports the company’s beverage, snack, and cosmetic brands through sales and merchandising activities. The National Call Centre plays a key role in ensuring customers receive excellent service while supporting sales operations across South Africa.
As a Contact Centre Agent, you will handle inbound customer calls, process orders accurately, resolve customer enquiries, and ensure efficient communication between customers, sales representatives, and distribution depots.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Answering inbound customer calls professionally.
- Capturing customer orders accurately.
- Responding to customer enquiries and complaints.
- Resolving customer queries promptly.
- Following up on order discrepancies with customers or sales representatives.
- Ensuring minimum order quantities and values are met.
- Routing customer orders correctly for delivery or collection.
- Processing special delivery and collection requests.
- Communicating credit-held orders to the Accounts Receivable Department.
- Informing customers when accounts are on hold.
- Maintaining effective communication with depots to ensure service delivery.
- Performing general customer service and administrative duties.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Advantageous Qualification
- Call Centre Certification.
Experience
Applicants must have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in an inbound and outbound call centre environment.
Additional Requirements
The following will be advantageous:
- Experience in the FMCG industry.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
