Job Purpose (DHL Driver)

The purpose of this role is to safely and accurately move pallets and stock throughout the warehouse using a reach truck. The successful candidate will follow Warehouse Management System (WMS) instructions via RF scanners while ensuring efficient warehouse operations and maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Operating a reach truck safely and efficiently.
  • Picking full pallets and replenishing warehouse stock.
  • Performing stock put-away and stock movements.
  • Loading and offloading trucks and containers.
  • Clearing production lines as required.
  • Assisting with cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Recording pallets moved each day.
  • Reporting damaged stock, incidents, and non-conformances immediately.
  • Completing warehouse administration in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Following health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Assisting with the induction and training of new employees when required.
  • Working collaboratively with receiving, dispatch, and inventory teams.
  • Wearing company uniform correctly and maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Performing any additional warehouse duties assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants applying for DHL Driver must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A valid Reach Truck Licence.
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience operating mechanical handling equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Accurate data capturing skills.
  • Basic warehouse administration experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
  • SAP system knowledge and experience will be an advantage.
