Key Responsibilities
As a Library Intern, you will:
- Assist with digitisation of library and publication resources
- Organise, sort, and prepare materials for scanning
- Capture and verify metadata for digital records
- Ensure proper handling of fragile information resources
- Support quality control processes for digitised content
- Assist with records management and filing systems
- Provide general support to library and publications staff
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma in:
- Library and Information Science OR
- Archives and Records Management
- Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of library and information systems
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of digitisation processes (advantage)
- Exposure to scanning equipment or digital repositories (beneficial)
