Job Overview (Casual General Worker)

The Casual General Worker (Non-Continuous Basis) role is designed for short-term operational support. Successful candidates will be called in only when needed, depending on business requirements.

This role:

  • Does not guarantee fixed hours
  • Is temporary in nature
  • Does not lead to permanent employment
  • Pays only for actual hours worked

Key Responsibilities

When called in, duties may include:

  • Packing and handling stock
  • Assisting drivers with delivery documentation
  • Loading and offloading trucks (heavy lifting up to 40kg)
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse areas
  • Accompanying drivers on delivery routes (including long-distance travel)

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • Reside in Mbombela (must be available on short notice)
  • Be currently unemployed

Advantageous:

  • Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license with PrDP
  • Experience in warehousing, stock handling, or FMCG
