Sibanye-Stillwater invites suitably qualified South African candidates to apply for various Learnerships 8.2 opportunities across its Gold West Wits and Platinum Operations. These learnerships are offered on a temporary employment basis and provide valuable workplace exposure in the mining and engineering environment.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
Option 1: N2 Qualification
- N2 Mathematics
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Engineering Drawings
- N2 Rigger Trade Theory
Option 2: NCV Level 4
- Electrical Infrastructure Construction (Electrical & Instrumentation), or
- Engineering and Related Design (all other trades)
- Minimum 40% pass mark for all subjects
Option 3: Grade 12
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Engineering Drawings / Engineering Graphic Design
- Relevant trade theory
- Minimum 40% pass mark for all subjects
Additional Requirements
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area
- Clear security screening record
- Valid driver’s licence (where applicable)
Advantageous Experience
- Previous exposure or experience in an engineering or mining environment
Key Responsibilities
Programme Participation
- Demonstrate understanding of the learnership objectives and tasks
- Complete all learnership modules within the prescribed timeframe
- Escalate queries or challenges related to programme completion
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
- Comply with legal, safety, and company requirements
- Perform all work according to required standards and training
- Attend SHE meetings as required
- Identify and report hazardous situations
- Participate in on-the-job risk assessments
- Use prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE)
Reporting
- Compile developmental progress reports
- Report obstacles, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
- Communicate ideas and recommendations effectively
Stakeholder & Team Relations
- Build and maintain effective working relationships
- Support team members in task execution
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
- Maintain clear two-way communication
