Minimum Requirements

General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) / Grade 9 (Std 7)
Proven supervisory experience in a housekeeping or support services environment
Experience in a Linen Bank environment (sorting, issuing, collection, and care of linen)
Experience managing a Residence (accommodation facility or staff residence)
A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence with a PDP
Computer literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong knowledge of the full linen management cycle (clean, soiled, infected, infested, mending and condemning)
Knowledge of Residence operational management
Ability to issue, manage and condemn staff uniforms according to policy
Supervisory skills and the ability to lead, guide and discipline staff
Good communication, planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Ability to maintain high hygiene, safety and quality standards

Manage linen services effectively (clean, soiled, infested and infected linen)
Oversee mending, condemning and control of linen stock
Oversee stock management and issuing of uniforms to staff
Manage and maintain a Residence facility, ensuring order, safety, and compliance
Supervise and support staff working in the Linen Bank and Residence
Maintain correct records, reporting, and administrative control
Ensure adherence to infection control, health and safety procedures
