Job Purpose (Food Aide Service)

The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources is recruiting a Food Aide Service staff member to support catering services and maintain hygiene standards in the Office of the Deputy Minister. This role ensures smooth kitchen operations and quality food service.

Minimum Requirements

  • ABET Level 2 (NQF 1) or equivalent
  • No prior experience required

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act and Public Service portfolio
  • Understanding of political and parliamentary processes in South Africa
  • Good communication and diplomatic skills
  • Analytical and creative thinking

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Food Aide Service staff member, you will:

  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Provide catering support services
  • Keep stock of kitchen utensils and catering equipment
  • Apply hygiene and safety measures at all times
  • Maintain quality control of food provided
  • Ensure proper garbage disposal
